Spirit wear

School Spirit Wear

Tees and hoodies students actually wear, in sizes that cover the whole family — sold through a store so nobody has to collect money.

Spirit wear only works if students want to wear it. That sounds obvious, but plenty of schools end up with a design chosen by committee that nobody puts on twice. Bold, simple designs on a decent garment beat a busy crest on a cheap shirt every time.

The second thing that matters is reach. Spirit wear is not just for students — parents, grandparents and staff buy it, and that is where the volume and the fundraising margin actually come from. Which means adult extended sizes are not optional.

  • Staff sizes
  • Parent & grandparent
  • Online store
  • Reorder each year

Designs students will wear

The shirts that get worn tend to be the simplest ones. A strong mark, a school name and one or two colors reads better on a hoodie than a detailed crest, and it costs less to print.

Keeping it to fewer ink colors also leaves more margin if the run is doubling as a fundraiser.

  • Bold, simple designs over detailed crests
  • One or two ink colors keeps cost and margin sensible
  • Hoodies sell better than tees in winter terms
  • Long sleeves are the most underrated seller
  • Match the design across garments so it reads as a set

Selling it without the admin

The traditional method — order forms in bags, cash in envelopes, a volunteer with a spreadsheet — is why a lot of schools stop doing spirit wear.

An online store replaces all of it. One link, families order their own sizes and pay at checkout, and we produce exactly what was sold.

  • One link shared by email or the school app
  • Families pay individually at checkout
  • No unsold stock and no cash handling
  • Reopens each year from the same setup

Who buys spirit wear

  • Online store option — families order and pay for themselves.
  • Artwork help included — a sketch is a fine starting point.
  • Proof before production — nothing runs until it is approved.
  • Youth through adult sizes — students, staff and parents.
  • Setups kept on file — next year starts from this year.
  • Budget-first quoting — tell us the number and we work to it.

Common questions

Good to know

How do we handle sizes across the whole school?

With a store you do not have to. Each family picks their own size, so you are not estimating a size run for hundreds of students and hoping.

Can staff order too?

Yes, and they usually want to. Include adult extended sizes and ladies’ cuts so staff and parents are properly covered rather than squeezed into student sizing.

Can we reuse last year’s design?

Yes. We keep setups on file, so reordering a previous design or updating just the year is quick and cheaper than starting over.

Planning this year’s spirit wear?

Tell us the school and roughly how many families. We will set it up.
